I agree about spending a day here, and then I'd take a 2 day trip through the countryside....perhaps ending up in Northern Italy?

Another idea would be to go from Prague to Dresden if you like history. Vienna is also conveniant from Prague. I wouldn't do Budapest in July but thats just myself

4 days in Prague
3 days in Slovenia
4 days in Vienna

You'd have a nice trip.
