The Checkin situation at SFO has really become horrific. I've been going to the airport a lot recently to ticket reservations using certs and I've watched dozens of people miss their flights because the economy checkin lines were so long. Sometimes these pax are told by greeters to get out of line and get in the ticket purchase/exchange/refund line, which only makes my wait longer. Of course, these same pax had already waited more than 45 minutes in the line they were in. They would have been accomodated once they reached the checkin desk had they just waited there. I sometimes ask them if they had considered using the curbside checkin. They say they didn't know they could, or worse, this weekend, one very kind couple came in from the rental car center, on the AirTrain, and never passed the front of the terminal to even know it was there. Hmm... perhaps a Check & Go desk should be put on level 3 at the entrance to the terminal coming in from the parking garage!
