Well if your wife was there, then you were well within the rules. You follow the rules, they should too. This is bogus, they suit the rules to their own purpose. If the rules are written in a manner that benefits you and allows this scenario, which it currently does, then they have no basis for their actions. If they want to change the rules, then fine, but in that case they would merge your two accounts and the total of both your and your wife's stays should be the determining factor in your elite status, lifetime points, stays, etc. They want to have it both ways. They write the rules and then do not even abide by them. And I'm not even married, so neither of these scenarios applies to me.

Of course getting my stay from Curacao from 2 weeks ago credited, and the associated Mega Bonus points is being rather problematic due to voodoo folios at that Hotel. BTW, the hotel and staff were very nice, but their accounting and folio/record keeping is terrible. Not to mention the puke found in the reservoir of the coffee maker in one of our rooms – they did credit my MR account 25K points for that one. Ironically those points came through, but the points for the stay have not. Second call into MR Plat Guest Services this AM will hopefully rectify the situation.
