I'm assuming that nothing has changed and that she will donate to SOS Children's Villages.

For me, expiring miles no matter what the activity always meant that STC was not an important part of my life. Far better to have a minimum of 500 AA miles with no expiry date (assuming account activity at least once every three years ) than a minimum of 1,000 LX miles which can be lost - or stolen - if not redeemed, no matter what level of activity.
