It has been quite a year. New house, new husband (married in late April) and now a new job for me in Paris (with a multinational non-profit). It looks like the job will be very interesting, I'll get to continue travelling and, of course, it's Paris!

My highly evolved husband is thrilled about the move and very supportive, even though he has to quit his job, stay behind this summer and figure out how to rent/sell the house, then pack it up (and kitty too) and join me in September (at which time he'll start looking for a job, and a flat for us if I haven't found one yet). I'm thinking that the best "travel aid" a woman who travels on business can have is a husband like mine.

Well, enough blithering. While it will take a while to get settled, I hope that I'll be able to offer those of you who frequent this sub-forum advice, if you want it, about Paris shopping, restaurants, etc. Let me know.
