They will get much more from you on a paid rate than they would get from GP for an award stay. Probably ~3X as much. You might as well try offering to pay your corporate rate at checkin. If they were smart they would take the $$$, but it might be more of a pain for them to deal with getting your GP points refunded. I dunno for sure as I've never done this, but it's definitely worth a try!!!
