Two great first posts. One for breaking UA's rules and selling an award and getting spanked for it (lightly I might add) and now trying to figure a way to break the rules again to get your Dad in F int'l on an ineligible ticket.

If you are on a 767 in F then the difference between F and C is minimal. I would want to sit with my father. Forget the spoiled attitude and sit with your father. C isn't that bad. Even if it is 777 I would still sit with my father, even if it meant giving up Singapore Airlines First long haul I would sit with my father in C. What is more important to you, a little spoiled boy attitude to "have" to sit in F or some precious time with your father? I take the father every time.
