I visited DC for years and stayed at all the Marriotts. I now live here (across from the Wardman Park property) and work across from the Washington Marriott. I've never had a bad experience, but my overall favorite is the Marriott Metro Center, literally on top of the main Metro subway transfer station, so you can take the trains anywhere you want to go. Also, Hecht's department store is across the street.
