Which airlines have you flown to compare? BA and Virgin give you free drinks. Virgin has the most advanced VOD. Some of the American carrirers don't even have personal videos on their flights (Delta, UA on 747). BA gives you enough food for the flight and doesn't leave you feeling hungry (like AA).
I really can't think of any American carrier that is better than BA or Virgin

And BA (don't know about Virgin) still gives away the little amenity packs in Y. Oh, and the headphones are more comfortable
