I thought the sandwiches at Katz's were wimpy in size, although they were cheaper than Carnegie or Stage the last time I was there. Of the 4 places, I believe only 2nd Ave Deli is truly kosher -- if that counts for anything.

Curiously, last time I was at Carnegie, I got really awful service -- not traditional Carnegie awful but downright sour and incredibly unhelpful. The guy refused to provide packaging for taking out the rest of the sandwich! I am hoping that was a one time event, although I have absolutely no problem with the Stage as an alternate.

It is truly wonderful to have these choices. The SF bay area is great in almost every way -- except as far as I can tell there are no Jewish-style delis worthy of eating in.
