With the back packers burnt to death in Childers, English tourist in Bundaberg and Serial killler Leonard Fraser in Rockhampton, the bodies are still turning up. That is strange as Frazer has been in gaol for years? I am thinking of holidaying in McKay, Cairns, Hervey Bay and Kingfisher Bay, until Cap. Coast Tourism get some resolve from the Premier and State Police for a Task Force to be set up. At my estimate there have been 20 or more murdered or burnt to death in the Region. You have a better chance of being murdered than eaten by a Shark on the Capricorn Coast at the moment. see CapCoastSmokingGunIn for an opinion.

I'm not sure what this has to do with governmental paranoia but that is terrible. I haven't seen any reports about that here. Probably don't want to hurt tourism. It is amazing how many seriel murders actually take place and most never get solved. Another piece of news not reported most of the time. Just goes to show that we really need to be aware especially traveling in unfamiliar places.
As far as chances of being eaten by a shark, that is very, very rare. I believe it is more likely to get hit by a piece of an airplane falling out of the sky than to get attacked by a shark. I never seem to have a problem when I've dove around them in any case.
