Thanks to our friends on Cathay forum I have learned that there are some real AA award bargains for travel to Australia from Canada!! For a mere 37k miles you'll get an economy award ticket from Canada to Australia!! Now, that's virtually a free giveaway!! Theoretically, you can claim a further award of 25k and upgrade to biz and another 40k to 1st but that's just my theory.
