Well, you're certainly lucky..my experiences with AA's JFK crews (I fly mostly JFK-ZRH, JFK-LHR, and sometimes JFK-CDG) have not been so positive even in J. At least one or two of them per flight usually have an "attitude" problem - no smiles, pissed-off-to-be-at-work look, and answering your thank-yous with a grunt (if they even bother to answer at all). My last JFK-LHR flight, both J f/as working in the cabin barely showed their faces in the cabin, shoved the tray of pre-takeoff OJ/champagnes in passengers' faces without uttering a word, and responded to perfectly polite passengers' "thank-yous" maybe twice during the six hour flight.

Systemwide, I have generally found the JFK and MIA crews to be most prone to an attack of Attitude...Of course, I have encountered warm and polite crews as well but it seems that in the past couple of years, there are at least one or two per flight that give their company and colleagues a bad name...
