I was away for a few days and hadn't looked in on this thread (or any of Flyertalk for that matter). So here is an explanation and some guidance - this thread (at least for the first 6 posts or so are directly on topic and welcomed in this forum), however, the thread deteriorated from there with lots of discussions on political issues like are gays welcomed in the US etc. With this discussion, many posts are bordering on personal attacks. This is a good example of why politics (and other "controversial" subjects such as religion) are not allowed on Flyertalk (except for the OMNI forum).

Since the discussion in this thread has been "standing" for a while and has not deteriorated further, I'm not going to edit posts or take any other action (at this time) other than this warning post that any future political discussions will be edited/deleted.
