CO enhanced (old meaning) their F service by creating more of it; this made their elites (best customers) happy; they went out of their way to communicate it to a group of their most valuable elites (as represented by FTers); and specifically thanked them for their input (from the IAH DO and other avenues).
NW takes away pillows, blankets, spinzels, meals in Y, hot towels in F, elite baggage allowances, and free Skycap checkin - did I miss anything?
The topic title refers to a) CO's at least symbolic gesture at catering to its most valuable customers; and b) CO's tip of the hat to communicating with said customers.
