I recently booked internal SAA flights from the UK and paid using my Amex PP - paid £72 for 2 tickets vs over £200 when priced in GBP! Didn't seem to cause any problems despite saying only SA registered cards were accepted. Have even got through my confirmation number and e-ticket.
