Again, YMMV, but in all my flights on Air France (and I've been elite for a number of years now), I've never had an IFE that difdn't work. Every time I've seen one not work, the passenger was either re-seated or offered miles. In fact, yesterday, one fellow behind me couldn't get his to work - he was given 6.000 miles and re-seated.

I'm surprised that there was no veg meal - was it requested at time of booking?

As far as the non-French thing, I'd chalk it up to cultural differences. A lot of times the FAs or GAs might say something that soudns rude in English, but isn't the intent. Ex: Yesterday, I was sat next to an American woman who didn't speak French. The FA asked her "What do you want, lady?" when serving dinner. To the French woman across from me, he asked the same thing in French. To me, he was clearly asking the same question but in English it came out odd.

I guess some people will take this as rudeness. At the same time, I've flown on US airlines (DL) where my wife was referred to by a surly FA as "that woman". Frankly, I find that rude, arrogant and unacceptable from someone who should know better in English.

So, I guess we all have different definitions of arrogant, rude behavior.
