Does anybody know how the crediting of AMEX membership rewards pending points work?

I am moving out of the US in another month and many of the rewards partners will only deliver to US addresses. I want to redeem all of my points for some golf clubs before I move. I am 3000 points short of the amount needed for the reward that I want, but I have 5000 pending points. My bill is completely paid and my balance is zero.

How long after the bill is issued/paid will the pending points be credited to my account. Thanks.
