I walked in and got USD 125 at Dragonara and USD 140 at Hilton. Neither hotel was anywhere close to full, so if you can wait until arrival, you will probably get great rates. BTW, I did try to call a couple of days prior to arrival and was able to book the Dragonara rate over the phone. The Hilton OTOH, quoted a much higher rate over the phone, just one day before my arrival; even when I walked in, they still did not immediately offer me the USD 140 rate, I had to be very assertive and push with "are you sure this is your best rate"? Later during my stay at the Hilton, when I mentioned I had been at the Dragonara, the same front desk person I had when I first walked in, was quite interested in hearing what I thought of that hotel (it is very close by and a pretty similiar property). I think the fact that the Dragonara is so near and that their rates were lower, may influence how low in the off season the front desk at Hilton is willing to go with a room rate. The Hilton is normally in high season, a very expensive property!
