Well, playing around with the Miles Finder it looks like under FB rules real miles are credited when connecting.

Example:

• BRU-AMS: 750 miles
• AMS-DTW: 3920 miles
  
• BRU-AMS-DTW: 3961 miles

Anyone out there (yet) who actually had miles credited under this scheme and can confirm that this is how it works now?


BTW, apparently KLM have found a route from BRU to AMS that is only 41 miles... The Great Circle Mapper comes up with 98 miles for BRU-AMS and 3940 miles for AMS-DTW.
