just depends on who you get, I guess
The agent I spoke with last weekend about delays on all the flights I was watching told me they aren't told what the reasons for the delays are, ever.

In the meantime, after doing fairly well all week, the SEA-LAX flight I've been watching is now running about 2 hours late and hasn't left yet. Arggghhh.
