I thought I had changed my seats on my Delta award flight by going through "My itineraries" on nwa.com to pick my seats. However, when I got the DL confirmation number and went to Delta.com they did not have me in those seats. Fortunately my flight is in September so I had plenty of time to pick better seats than the ones Delta had chosen.
At this time, the seat information given at MyInfo on nwa.com doesn't agree with what Delta is showing. Check both and maybe assume since it's Delta operated, the Delta site may be the correct one. I also phoned Delta to double-check since it was my first time doing an award ticket.

But it still has difficulty with changing seats on partner airlines. A recent DL award I got with WP miles showed up under View/Change Reservations, but I couldn't view or change my seats. I COULD view/change my seats through MyInfo, though. Same goes for anything operated by KL (excluding intraeuropean KL flights, which don't have advance seat assignments at all): you'll be able to view/change seats through MyInfo, but not through View/Change Reservations.
