Routing for my biz travel has forced me to take UA-US codeshares through CLT, and I have been having issues checking-in online. I fly UA from ORD-CLT and then US (as a UA codeshare on a UA ticket) from CLT to my final destination.

Have others had problems checking-in online for codeshare flights? Is this standard operating procedure for UA? If so, are there any work-arounds so I can at least check-in on the UA portion? The flight is usually very early in the AM, so I'd prefer to be checked-in before I get to ORD in case I am running late. Any suggestions?
