My question is if I use the On Star phone service should I expect to be charged when I return the car?

Thank you in advance.

I was quite suprised this morning when I saw my original posting on the FlyerTalk TalkMail e-mail. Here is a quick update. I contacted Avis and asked them if I should be expected to be charged when I used the phone. After checking with a manager or two, the CSR told me that I would not be charged and she put a memo in my rental reservation saying I should not be charged.

So after that I wa susing the phone left and right when, during a call, I got a message saying "Ten units remaining." I do not know how lonf ten units will last me so I stopped using the phone service and just used my own phone.
