The urban legends site Snopes.com has a new
article about seat 29E. It's supposedly a complaint letter sent to Continental after a flight in that seat. The seat is supposed to be next to the lavatory, and the writer goes into some amount of disgusting detail about the experience. Be sure to check out the illustrations in the original.
The flight is alledgedly 888, but that currently goes IAH-PTY-UIO. The handwritten letter says something like SOO (SDO?) to Houston.
The closest aircraft configuration is the 737-800, which
does have an extra row 29 next to a lavatory. The offending seat would be 29D, though, not E.
Anyone ever sit in this row? Bad as it sounds? Seatguru just notes that the last few rows are narrower.
