I did a lot of research prior to deciding upon Holland America, Northbound Vancouver to Seward, departing 8/26. From everything I've read, Princess and HAL seem to be the industry leaders in Alaskan cruising. However, I wanted a mid-size ship, and Princess was just too big for what I was looking for. HAL also seems to be a bit more upscale than Princess, but not prohibitively expensive.
