Santa Maria - Holiday Inn and Suites

As the town of Santa Maria is in the news with the Michael Jackson trial, I will start there.
If you dont know, Santa Maria is a small city about 65 miles north of Santa Barbara.
The HI is an all suites hotel. As a Gold, I recieved nothing (I did not expect anything). My room had a full kitchen with a eating bar, set with two table settings. There was also a small two person table for eating and a small refrigerator. On the other side of a wall was a king bed. The only problem was that it had about 12 inches of clearence between the bed and the wall. The other side of the bed was 12 inches from the window AC unit, which when it ran all night sounded like someone had parked a refrigerated truck under the room's small balcony. The TV swiveled so it could be used by the sleeping or eating areas. The room also had a standard work desk. Incredibly the hotel has no wireless access. I don't understand how a Best Western can offer wireless and a HI can't.
I had booked a Best Breaks rate of $118. The breakfast was the standard HI menu but service was slow. The waitress said she was the only one working.

If you stay at this HI ask for a room facing the pool. My room faced the parking lot of the Motel 6 next door, and the noise of people partying in the parking lot forced me to sleep with the window closed.
