Traffic from West End (Where the cruise ship dock at Canada Place is) towards the airport is always a possible mess. As one of the other repliers have indicated there is no highway heading in that direction. Going along Granville St. after exiting the downtown area and towards south is often congested due to the fact that Granville is the main road for commuters between the two areas.
