The infrastructure will also not have aerobridges, so travellers will need to walk a short distance to and from the aircraft. However, no frills does not equate to no facilities and amenities. CAAS described the upcoming LCT as a“cheerful and relaxing terminal” with 3,000sqm of retail space (travellers will still be able to enjoy duty-free shopping and quick snacks) and air-conditioning in most areas. The LCT is scheduled for completion in early 2006 and will be able to handle about 2.7 million passengers a year.
