We stayed at the Renaissance Aruba last year. Our room was very so, so. Be aware there are two different buildings here and they are not together. We stayed in the Marina Building and I would not recommend it. Room was very dark and dreary. The entire building seemed like something from the 60's. The Ocean Suites building was much more attractive and has a beach. There is also a private island which is about a 10 minute launch ride from the Marina Building.

We've stayed at Aruba before and I would certainly recommend a resort on Palm Beach rather than the Renaissance, which is downtown.
