I thought this would be a great plan until I found out only Executive Club members can check-in 24 hours in advance. Regular folks like me cannot check-in until 12 hours prior to departure. Since my VS flight departs 13 hours prior to my BA flight, I am going to ask a trusted friend check me in online while I am enroute to London. One thing that concerns me is that I will not know for certain whether I can check baggage through to my final destination until I check-in for my LAX-LHR flight.
