chimoe125 Why not go to your local book store's travel section and buy or peruse a good NY guidebook. The Access Books are generally pretty good. You can also use your local library. I would never consider going anywhere new without doing a little homework. FT is wonderful for many things. Still, a good guidebook is indispensible when just trying to get the lay of the land, some history or a handle on the location. FT is even better after you have done some homework on your destination.
