I reluctantly fly AA in the States, solely because I live in the US and want the BA miles (never AAdvantage miles!)
There is no comparison between AA and BA in terms of service, especially on short-haul flights. It *NEVER* ceases to amaze me how the BA crew can manage to do food/beverage service on a 57 minute flight LHR-NCL (even if it is just a baguette).
AA crew is having a good day when you get a small plastic cup of ice on short flights, and a bag of three and a half broken pretzels)
