A pilot's breakdown of the codes on our charts will commanly be

Edmonton Airport CYEG
Edmonton VOR (a VHF Navigation device) YEG
Edmonton NDB (a AM Navigation device) EG

Same for CYYZ ect.. often there is more than 1 NDB or even more than one VOR, they have random other names.
