It is 2 segments if you want F SCL-LAX, using 1 segment you can only get J EZE-LAX. There is no way around this (LA might accept 1 flight coupon but it will be 2 segments in their reservation; if they did this it is a very big favour and you should be appropriately thankful). I tried to do this 2 years ago (without success).
