My parents are flying out of Roanoke, VA to Istanbul, Turkey. The exact route is: Roanoke - Chicago - Istanbul.

I know Turkish Airlines' weight limit per bag is 70 lbs on international flights but United's weight limit per bag is 50 lbs on domestic flights.

The entire trip is on one itenary so I am guessing they don't have to pay excess but we'll see. I just wanted to check up before we leave for the airport tomorrow.
