The product was fine transtlantic, although New Club World is better. However price wise, I wouldn't say Continental's Business First was that much better than KLM's product and both seem to be at the same price point.
The main reason for my switch was BA's infinetly better Business Class in Europe.
I think its Bols Gin in those Delft Houses (at least in mine). I flew to AMS in WBC on one of their Christmas cheapies and found the food and service satisfactory. Outbound seat was upstairs on a not full 747 with 2-2 arrangement. Recline was 60 degrees, I think. Nothing special - nothing bad either. Return was in the nose cone, Row 3. My only complaint was that J and Y passengers had to queue in the same long line to board the aircraft at AMS.
I'd agree that all other things being equal CO's BusinessFirst is more comfortable and a better service.
