Booked a car from Thrifty a few months ago for July in DEN. Midsize car approx $150 per week less 10% off for SAMS. Checked rates a couple of times to see whether they had changed up or down. Rates went up to over $220 per week, then yesterday rate was Compact $243 but only $88 for a Midsize and $175 for Luxury!!! So I booked car at low price, cancelled previous reservation and checked by phone with Thrifty to see if rate is guaranteed. Operator said if you can book and get confirmation # then price is guaranteed!!

As Dollar and Thrifty are part of same holding company checked Dollar for DEN and they have similar prices. Intermediate car for $248 for 2 weeks including all taxes.
