I guess Airbus launching an all-new A350 was what pushed EK to that camp.
I wonder if EK will replace their A340-500s with the 777-200LRs, or if they will use them to launch new service. EK's A345's have the ultimate F cabin in the sky right now, in terms of design.
Qatar seemed to be leaning toward the 787, but with Airbus claiming over 100 orders for the A350 at Paris, I figured they had won that one, as well.
Next up is Gulf Air. They want a 787-9 closer to a 777-200ER in size, so perhaps they will pick the 777-300ER and 787-8.
