You are definitely NOT the only one ...
STL, both new and old, is / will be on the light rail line that starts at the airport and winds its way downtown.
PIT is right across the river from downtown - from the airport there is a $2 express bus that runs downtown every half-hour or so, it is an easy walk across the bridge from there.
ATL has a free shuttle bus that runs from Five Points, the central station where the two MARTA rail lines meet.
Dunno about the other two ...
