I would agree. I got one of these certs myself a little before Christmas last year. The remote control on my seat in WBC did not work, and after the purser tried resetting the system twice, he came up to me and handed me the cert good for either $250 off a ticket purchase or 25,000 miles. FYI, was flying paid C.
