Yes, SanDiego1K's itinerary pretty much covered most places. Otherwise, you could consider something like:

Day1 - Elephant Orphanage (Pinnawela) / Dambulla Cave Temple
Day2 - Sigiriya the Lion Fortress: finish the climb / Habarana Village: go for an elephant ride / Polonnaruwa: medieval capital city
Day3 - Kandy / Peradeniya Botanical gardens / Kandyan Cultual Show / Temple of the Sacred Tooth Relic
Day4 - Spice Garden / Nuwara Eliya: good Sri Lankan tea
Day5 - Travel from Nuwara Eliya back to Colombo
Day6 - Explore Colombo: try cashew nuts, explore Pettah Street, shop at Bare Foot
