Great Weekend Night !

My wife and I stayed at the Cincinnati Hilton this past Saturday evening; and had a wonderful stay.
I contacted the hotel 3 days before our arrival, and spoke with the front desk about getting a Whirlpool room. I mentioned that I was willing to pay for it to guarantee the room; as I thought this would be a great surprise for my wife. After putting me on hold for a few minutes, the front desk woman said that since we were Hilton Gold and there were numerous Whirlpool rooms available, she was able to get authorization to upgrade us prior to arrival. Checked online an hour later... and the room was upgraded.
Room was a larger room, and had a authentic "Jacuzzi" 2 person whirlpool tub. It was excellent ---
When returning to the property on Sunday afternoon, asked at the guest services desk if the wonderful terrace off of the Belvedere lounge was open yet. They mentioned that it was not, but if we wanted to see the terrace, they would be more than happy to show us. I had remembered looking at the terrace a previous stay in the winter... and it really looked wonderful. TJ the guest services manger took us up and opened the door to the terrace from the Bevedere lounge, so we could take a look around. Can't wait for them to finish the renovations -- this is such an awesome space --- and is so unique... not only is the belvedere [executive lounge] at this property open on weekends, BUT --- it is one of the few that has a wonderful outdoor space to sit and read or to have a drink. Upon seeeing my fascination with the space, TJ asked if we would like to see one of the specialty suites with its own terrace. He took us to see the Fountain Square Suite, which has a lovely parlor, and a terrace that could easily fit 20 to 25 guests with an AMAZING view of fountain square [from the 16th floor]. My wife and I both commented on how we would love to have a small dinner party out on that terrace !
TJ, the Guest Services Manager, really exceeded my expectations, and we were very appreciative of the personalized tour. In addition, it is TJ and his team that has instituted the call ahead program by the concierge(s) at this hotel for Gold and Diamond Guests. He mentioned they really do want to exceed expectations, and would love to coordinate dinner reservations etc. for guests prior to their arrival at the property.
A great property, great recognition... can't wait to return in a few weeks to celebrate my birthday.
