I flew my first CRJ-700 (CR7) yesterday - Comair from CVG to CLE. Since Seatguru does not display a CR7 map for Delta, I refered to United, I think, and snagged a row 3 bulkhead seat - rated green. There is extra footspace *and* a hump in front of the seats that makes a neat ottoman.
I'm not sure what purpose the hump serves otherwise.
I just assumed the hump is the same as that of the back of a city bus or school bus -- inside the hump is a large tire that spins around and allows the vehicle to move forward at a much greater speed than the old wooden wheels of the horse & buggy days.
