I thought that AA already allows kiosk self-service check-in at LHR, CDG, and Canadian airports for US-bound pax because the immigration/passport swipe happens separately before you enter the secured area (therefore the passport swipe is not necessary for the BP to be issued, as is the case at most international locations).
