Yes. You should be able to check in with an agent and get your boarding passes as soon as the ticket counter opens on the day of travel (theoretically at 4:30am if you want to drive out to LAX that early!).

However, if you will be checking bags, keep in mind that you might not be able to check them until 4 hours before the flight, depending upon local policies.
