Standard 1W lounge access

You have to be slightly careful with lounge access and our "standard benefits". Qantas Club and Qantas FF members, such as myself, are banned from the CDG lounge when on BA metal, even if on a QF codeshare. Accra refused to give me an invitation to the lounge.

This is a particular problem with third party contract lounges.

I think that I shall be asking our official lurker for a list of where I can, and cannot expect lounge access on the BA network. For me, there is nothing worse than checking in at 1700 local to make sure I get a seat on the aircraft, and then waiting around in an airport having been refused lounge access for about 5 hours prior to departure.

Additional benefit of a BA card over the QF card. BA flights in B and H class get full status points on BA whereas they get discount economy on QF.

For you as a Silver BA card holder, you will get access to every QF lounge on their network. They do not discriminate on colour or nationality. BA do!
