I followed that series on Slate. Pretty interesting. I can't believe, however, that he came through Houston on his way to Austin and didn't bother to stop in at Goode Co. His loss! And, of course, he could have completely cured his barbecue mania by stopping by my house ... pork shoulder, ribs, brisket, and chili ... all in one frantic weekend.
