I've been told by Hilton Honors that if you want to book an award for someone else, call 1-800-446-6677. Book the reservation in the the name of the person staying in the room. Hilton Honors will email to the Account holder the award certificate with the name of the person staying in the room on the certificate. Give the certificate to that person. I do this all the time for my daughter and family.
