I received an upgrade to a Junior Suite in Foothill Ranch, CA. My room was not ready. I stopped by the front desk after I put my luggage in the room to ask for directions. I heard a man asking when was his room was going to be ready since he had been waiting for 45 minutes. So sometimes being at least gold helps a little.
